Silhouette Dance Club

Silhouette Dance Club, based in the heart of Chepstow, Monmouthshire is a well-established dance organisation – lead by Robert Barley, Principal Instructor.

Regular competitions are held for all ages and grades at Lydney Town Hall. Dates are included in the Calendar tab, click on the picture for the Silhouette Dance Club website.

Lydney and Severnside Flower Club

FlowerArrangementLydney and Severnside Flower Club have been in existence since 1971 and have over 50 members.

Meetings are held on the 2nd Monday of each month at 7.15pm with the doors opening at 6.30pm.

A NAFAS approved demonstrator will create beautiful arrangements which are raffled at the end of the evening!

NHS Blood Doning

The NHS Blood Doning team make regular visits to the Town Hall throughout the year. Check out their website for further details or to make an online appointment.

NHS Blood Donation services help many people in need, including:

Transfusion patients – for example those with cancer or anaemia, as well as those who lose blood through surgery or childbirth

Transplant patients – to provide on-going support for donors and their families. NBS are working to increase donations to meet patient demand

Global aid – our international service brings our experience and expertise to countries around the world

University of the Third Age

U3ACakeThe University of the Third Age (U3A) is a national organisation for older people who are retired, semi-retired or no longer in employment, yet want to lead an active and fulfilling life.

We hold a Monthly General Meeting (often involving a guest speaker) on the 3rd Thursday of each month at Lydney Town Hall (1:45pm start). Tea / coffee is available and there is the opportunity to find out more about the various interest groups / activities, to join the Forest of Dean U3A and to just chat.

Regency dance

RegencyDancingRegency dance is the term for historical dances of the period ranging roughly from 1790 to 1825.

The Lydney Regency Dance group meet weekly throughout the year on Wednesdays from 2pm to 4:30 at the Town Hall.

Walk for Life

Did you know that everyday walking is good for you? It doesn’t have to be hours slogging around in the middle of nowhere; any brisk walk over 10 minutes counts – whether it’s to the shops or walking the dog.

Meet on the last Tuesday of each month in the friendly lounge area from 10:30 to 12:30.
