Carpenters Experience – 26th May

Karen and Richard Carpenter performed and often wrote, some of the greatest love songs of all time. Recreated to perfection by the Carpenters Experience.

The Carpenters experience has a great catalogue of music to perform and they go about it with all guns blazing. Lead singer Maggie is a hugely experienced show performer with over 20 years in the business. Backed by a highly-talented touring band, this is a show that has been performed across the UK, Europe and Asia.

Note – under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult.

Lydney Town Hall Trust – Annual General Meeting


You are warmly invited to attend the Annual General Meeting of the Lydney Town Hall management trust, which will take place from 7.00pm on Wednesday 30th May 2018 in the Town Hall.

This will give you an opportunity to find out how the Town Hall is doing, and to ask questions/make suggestions regarding the hall, its events, and its future.

The main items on the AGM agenda will be the following:-

– Presentation of the Annual Reports and Accounts
– Summary of activities and work of the committee over the last year
– Proposed activities at the hall over the coming year.

You will also have a chance to talk to the committee and helpers casually if you have any ideas or suggestions that you wish to broach informally.

We look forward to seeing you on 30th May.

Following the collapse of the ceiling in the Town Hall changing room  (due to snow – the Beast from the East), Del Cats and Mo are putting on this concert to help raise funds for the repairs. Come along and help support the repair of our historic Town Hall.

21st April 2018 – Lydney Training Band for CLiC Sergent

The Lydney Training Band are hosting a fundraising concert with guest euphonium soloist Thomas Dunne to celebrate young lives.

The event will be raising money for the following worthy causes:
– Lifetime band member Samantha Ford’s trip to Hong Kong to present at an international conference;
– Cancer and Leukemia In Children (CLiC Sargent) charity to help improve young lives with cancer.

Refreshments are available on the night, including hot and cold beverages, crisps, and cake.

Tickets are £6 adults and £5 concessions, with £1 programmes – with free raffle ticket included available on the night!

Totally Talented Final 2017 – 25th November

Finally, after weeks of auditions, rehearsals and heats. We have reached the final of the 2017 Totally Talented competition.

The singing competition open to people aged 11 to 19 years from The Forest Of Dean and Wye Valley area.

Following the great quality of finalists over the last few years, this years final proves to be the most hard fought yet. Come along and see the stars of tomorrow – today!
