Concert

We are very pleased, proud and truly honoured to present the legend of Reggae, one of Jamaica’s finest singer/songwriters, the one and only ‘Little Roy’ live in Concert in the Forest of Dean.

Little Roy will bring a full ‘live’ Band and it promises to be an unforgettable event. His album ‘Battle For Seattle’ was a reinterpret for Nirvana and was voted the best covers album of the century. Of course let’s not forget he had some great albums from the 70’s & 80’s right up until today. A living legend right here in the Forest.

Also to support this great Artist we are very pleased to announce Matt McManamon former lead singer songwriter of the fantastic ‘Dead 60’s’ who had a number of hits for the few short years the band were together. If you’re into The Clash then you most certainly would have heard this Band who were simply fantastic in my opinion and many others. Matt is now a solo artist and joining him will be his good friend and musician Vinny and together they really are sublime, yes I have seen them ‘live’ and you will not be disappointed as Matt will delve into a few classic Dead 60’s songs as well as his new single ‘Seas Of Gold’. Please check it out.

To kick off the show will be Forest of Deans super talented bunch of guys who have taken reggae music to another level with their bubbly and spirited, light hearted songs. These guys are very popular in these parts of the Country and they need as much exposure they can get to help them achieve their dreams. Please come & support them. Be early to catch these guys.

The Unravelling Wilburys, a band of good ‘ol boys, turn their skills and replicate the sound and songs of the late 80s ‘super-group’ The Traveling Wilburys where five of the greatest names in rock music history came together………… George Harrison, Roy Orbison, Tom Petty, Bob Dylan and Jeff Lynne of ELO.

So… welcome to Thumper, Blind Melon, Sticky Willy, Walter and Honky Tonk … The Unravelling Wilburys.

Their shows feature the boys take on their songs being usurped by Messrs Harrison, Dylan, Lynne, Orbison and Petty, back in the late 80s at Nashville, Tennessee. The story unravels, as is told in the show, and it comes to be that The Unravelling Wilburys have now stolen back what is rightfully theirs! Not only that, they have stolen some choice solo songs (allegedly) from Messrs Dylan, Lynne, Orbison, Harrison and Petty as compensation…………… and now happily play them in their shows!

The set list includes Wilbury songs such as: End Of The Line, Handle With Care, The Devil’s Been Busy, Last Night, Tweeter And The Monkey Man, She’s My Baby, Heading For The Light……………. And choice cuts such as: Pretty Woman, You’ve Got It (Roy Orbison), Mr Blue Sky, Evil Woman (Jeff Lynne’s ELO), I Won’t Back Down, Running Down A Dream (Tom Petty), Mr Tambourine Man, Make You Feel My Love (Bob Dylan), What Is Life, Here Come’s The Sun (George Harrison)………… and many more.
